Complete "Your Lobo Journey" Modules
On your first day you will complete the “Your Lobo Journey” modules. This is an important component of your onboarding experience and should be completed before the New Employee Experience Information Session.
New Employee Information Session
In addition to “Your Lobo Journey,” you are required to attend the virtual New Employee Information Session that occurs every Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:15 a.m. If the Wednesday falls on a holiday, you will attend the following week's session. Go to this Zoom meeting link to attend https://unm.zoom.us/j/94004377327 (Password: UNMNEE). NOTE: The last information session for 2024 is 12/18 and the first session of the 2025 will be 1/8.

Create Your NetID
Your NetID is a login ID used to access a variety of systems on campus including LoboMail, MyUNM, and Learning Central, and is an important first step as an employee.
your NetID can be created 24 hours after your hire has been processed into our system. To create your NetID at netid.unm.edu.You should also Sign up for multi-factor authentication for added security. If you have been hired at UNM Health and Health Sciences, a separate identification number will be created for you and provided to you by your supervisor. You will need both to access various UNM systems.
Set Up Direct Deposit
Set up Direct Deposit as soon as possible to ensure you receive your first paycheck as direct deposit. For instructions on setting up Direct Deposit and establishing account allocations visit the Payroll Direct Deposit page. You will need to have setup your NetID to complete this task.
Complete W-4
Tax withholding is defaulted to Single. If you would like to change your withholding information, you can update your form electronically via MyUNM. For instructions on viewing and updating your W-4 status visit the Payroll W-4 Information page. You will need to have setup your NetID to complete this task.
Consent to Electronic W-2
W-2’s are mailed to your most current address that is on the system at the time of release. If you prefer to view/access/print your W-2 online, you can complete the “Electronic Regulatory Consent”. Visit the W-2 Information page for further instruction and information. Consent may be done at any time while employed as it is optional and not mandatory.
Get your Employee ID
LOBO CARDYour Lobo Card will give you access to many UNM-related resources, including access into certain buildings, accessing the Johnson Center gym, as well as used for meal plans LoboCash and discounts at local businesses!
To obtain your LoboCard, visit the Lobo Card Office between 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. for walk-up hours. Visit the Lobo Card website for information on what you need to bring with you.
The Lobo Card Office is located in the Student Union Building (SUB), first floor, Suite 1067.

For all badging-related questions or concerns, including how to obtain a new badge, please contact the UNM Hospitals Badging Office at 505-272-1757.
